Maisie Brown Awarded R. Jess Brown Scholarship
Maisie Brown was awarded the R. Jess Brown Scholarship for Leadership in Racial Reconciliation by Mississippi College School of Law. The $2,000 scholarship is awarded annually to a 1L or 2L student who demonstrates leadership in advancing racial reconciliation. The scholarship honors the legacy of R. Jess Brown, one of Mississippi's first Black attorneys, whose career was dedicated to advancing civil rights and justice.
